Global Village is a Dubai landmark with over 5m visitors expected during the 2014-15 season. We approached this famous tourist attraction with the idea of increasing social media engagement levels using our Social Hubb platform. The plan was to engage users both online and offline as well as increasing the prominence of #GlobalVillage.
We showcased our Social Hubb on 3 large outdoor LED screens around the venue with a bespoke layout designed to maximise the audiences viewing experience. We also added Social Hubb to the clients website to allow visitors to get a glimpse of the Global Village experience before their visit.
We curated content from Global Village’s official social media channels in English and Arabic. To this we added content from visitors and exhibitors using the #GlobalVillage to create one of our most active Social Hubb’s to date. Over 1200 photos have appeared on the wall in the first month while we have tracked a 70% increase in the use of the #GlobalVillage in the United Arab Emirates.
